Ontario Beach Park is now open for swimming. Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says that the season will run through Labor Day, September 3rd.
Lifeguards will staff the beach each day, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Swimming is only allowed when lifeguards are on duty.
And swimming is only permitted when conditions and water quality are favorable. A recorded telephone message will be updated daily at 585-753-5887 with information on beach conditions and whether swimming is permitted or not.
Even when swimming is not permitted, the sandy beach at the park will remain open for recreational use.
