Monroe Ambulance mourns the loss of its founder

Staff at Monroe Ambulance along with others in the local first responder community are mourning the death of Eileen Coyle.

The founder and CEO of Monroe Ambulance, Eileen Coyle, died suddenly Saturday at her home in Greece at the age of 81.

Coyle formed the ambulance company in 1975 with a staff of 15.

The company, which now has nearly 300 staffers,  provides emergency medical services in Monroe, Orleans and Wyoming Counties as well as non-emergency medical transportation across Western New York.

Coyle previously served as President of the National Association of Women Business Owners and President of the New York State Ambulance Association.
