The president of the Democrat and Chronicle is leaving. The newspaper said on Thursday that Dan Norselli, who has held that position since August of 2016, is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
The 35 year old Norselli began his career with Gannett, the paper’s parent company, in 2012 as digital director of the D&C. He also had a stint as president and publisher of the Springfield News-Leader in Missouri.
According to the D&C, northeast regional president for Gannett, Thomas Donovan, called Norselli, “a passionate leader for a talented group of employees at the D&C and we all wish him the best.”
The newspaper says that transition and succession plans are underway. Norselli’s resignation is effective Feb. 16.
