The Greater Rochester International Airport has a new Director. He is the person who has been heading up the airport on an interim basis since October of 2017.
Andy Moore has been named to the post on a permanent basis by Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo. Prior to serving as Interim Director, Moore was Deputy Airport Director for four years.
Dinolfo says that Moore, “did an incredible job of bringing our transformational airport renovation project to fruition, all while managing day to day airport operations with minimal impact on local travelers during construction.”
The airport went through a $79 million renovation.
Moore replaces former Airport Director Michael Giardino who took a new position in Virginia in the fall of 2017.
